TP-LINK TL-WA1201 AC1200 Wireless Access Point

If you are looking for a lower power AP with multi SSID support and VLAN’s as well as 2.4 and 5 GHz channels then look no further. This is the only one I have found with the feature set that still allows normal 12v power. This allows me to use it with the cheaper Router UPS devices. Pair it with a Unifi UCG Ultra and you have an all around network solution with advanced capabilities that can last through load shedding

Had to buy this kit as my BT tv box couldn’t find my router on Wifi. Bit of a belt and braces approach but works perfectly. Says more about the BT tv box abilities really, poor.

Good Points: Easy to set up and after initial failure both units connected and are now working perfectly. No loss of socket, quite compact

Good Points: Did not do what I wanted. Viz correct the bodged job BT did. Improvement Points: Sales rubbish
