I have never had to deal with a router like this. Like all of the other reviewers this router will drop out and refuse to reconnect to the internet without a reboot. This will happen CONSTANTLY and completely randomly. Do not buy this deplorable piece of junk. After 5 months of troubleshooting I (finally) took it back to JB HI FI and demanded an exchange (which at first they “couldn’t do”, but in the end did do it) If you have the same issues with this piece of crap. Take it back, it will not get better. I will never trust an Asus product again after this joke of a router.

Constantly having random dropouts despite weeks of tech support from our ISP to try and remedy the issue.

The ASUS RP-BE58 BE3600 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 7 Range Extender could have been much better if it had a 2.5Gbps port instead of a Gigabit port. Still, as is, it has enough to justify the $99 price point. Consider it if you have a modest home network and need to extend the coverage to a far corner. In any case, it’ll work best as an AiMesh node of a dual-band ASUS Wi-Fi 7 router like one of those in the best list below.

best router ive ever used. anyone that tells u its bad just dont know enough about WiFi or internet in general.

What an awful router. Wifi is rubbish, it drops out all the time and is impossible to get it reconnected. Speed is lacking. I’ll be taking this one back for a refund and getting a fritzbox router.
