Used for facial recognition in Windows 11 (Windows Hello) Installation is instantaneous and operation is flawless, even in (very) poor lighting conditions.

It works very well under Linux (ubuntu 24.04 LTS). It's a real slap in the face in terms of detail compared with the old webcam. The physical shutter has to be fitted yourself, but it's a very good idea. The footprint on the screen is a little larger with a thin-rimmed screen, so I put a small shim (3 or 4 mm) to avoid losing too much display.

The camera is excellent. I use it to stream on twitch.

I wish I could write a review for each time I had to replace this piece of junk. Unfortunately, it's the only camera that Microcenter stocks that has the Windows Hello compatibility. Be sure to get a replacement plan as it will likely start to die just after a year. And in spite of what Microcenters website says, the warranty on this is only 1 year. For whatever reason, they refuse to change it. So if you're lucky, you could go in and argue that you were under the impression that the MC website was correct and you had a product with a 3 year warranty, so they should honor their gaffe and return it.
