Promark Cool Rods

While I realise Cool Rod are the light weight option for this type of stick, I was disappointed to have used them for just one studio session before the rods began to splay out at the ends. The result was lost definition when striking cymbals and a very 'soft' drum sound. I might just try the Hot Rods version, have to say other brands suffer a similar fate quite quickly. At the price, they're really poor value.

These are a great product is you want a quieter alternative to sticks. They sound great too, a really different percussive sound. I prefer the Cool Rods to the Hot Rods because they are more like a 5A size, which I prefer.

Bought these to practice with as my normal hickory sticks were still a bit loud even with mute pads on. These do the job perfectly and if I'm ever playing a low volume gig these will probably fill that niche too.
