I am very happy with this Fenix 8. I purchased it as an upgrade from Fenix 6 that I wore everyday since purchasing in 2020. I have been logging Garmin data and intend to stay with Garmin going forward. I increased in size from 43mm (2020) to 47mm (2026) so I could see more of the map function and see larger fonts for data screens. I also like that the watch face can be dimmed while sleeping. With a small wrist, I switched from the orange silicone band to a Garmin UltraFit Nylon (velcro) strap that anchors the watch on my wrist during exercise. I have a cool combination of the titanium watch face with orange detail and a Granite Blue nylon band. Very happy with the watch!

I upgraded from the Fenix 6 to this watch and couldn't have asked for a better purchase. The functionality of the watch far exceeded my expectations. Great purchase, would highly recommend

This watch is almost unusable. I paid about $1,100 for it and after three months I gave it away. My friend gave it back in two weeks. "Too hard to make it work. Too slow". Then I gave it to a tech person, who was so glad to get it. She gave it back the next time I saw her. It is just too hard to get to the function you want. The on line video's are useless because the functions they show do not match what I am seeing on this watch. I think the $3.00 per hour engineers at Garman should be replaced.

The salesperson that assisted in helping me select a good watch for my needs was fantastic. The watch is great, if not a little complicated to navigate through all of the choices. It is a very powerful hiking/exercise tool that I will make full use of!
