Bosch 2609256B61 - Sanding Plate for PEX 300 / 400 AE

Excellent sander. Really fast progress, great ergonomics (super comfortable to hold). Excellent value for money. Superb finish.

Great little sander. Have used it on hard wood and an epoxy project. You need to adjust the speed to suit the surface and grit otherwise it will dance around more than plate sanders. I also rig it up to my Titan vacuum cleaner with a very long hose and that rig works very well. However, you then need to increase the power setting as the sander now sticks to the surface being prepared.

Bosch PEX 400 AE random orbital sander has replaced my old, basic Metabo FSX 200. This one is way easier to hold and operate, it has 2 handles and also can be used one-handed – held by its top. It’s more powerful, faster and has variable speed control. I like the box which locks the sander and the sanding discs firmly in place and can be stored in any position or handle without any care. It came with a plastic bit, Paper Assistant, that helps to fit the sandpaper. This is actually a very good idea, discs are always perfectly aligned with the pad and holes, dust extraction is better and air circulation is maximized.

I bought one of these about 3 years ago, used it lots bought another one as a present.

Excellent random orbital sander. Stripped layers of old varnish/stain off my raised garden beds resdy for filling and oiling.
