Dark one side, bright the other. Over a week and still waiting for LG to get back to me with a replacement. Besides that and other than the muffled speakers and buzzy fan, it's alright as 4k ultra wide monitors go.

This has proved to be a really great buy, and one I'm so pleased I made. The quality is simply first class. It all connected to my new Mac Mini and works seamlessly. The picture quality is outstanding. If you are in the market for a high quality 5K monitor, then in my opinion the 40U990A-W 40" wide curved Monitor would be a superb choice.
