Excellent price and scans books, which most scanners have a problem with. Good price, had a few problems with the drivers when I changed my OS, but well worth the trouble. Excellent scanner.

I was sick of seeing my teenage kids having to lump their school bags packed with heavy school books around so I went looking for a book scanner so that they could leave their books at school and use the digital versions at home. It sounds ideal but its obviously going to be time consuming. I’ve decided to do 10 pages a day over the school holidays. I didn't expect this scanner to be as good as it its considering the cost. Its easy to operate and the it scans fairly fast. The scan quality really is excellent crystal clear. So I have to say I'm very pleased and this scanner will more than pay for itself by the time I've scanned all my kids school books

The scanner arrived a few minutes ago, and when I opened the package I was shocked to discover it is a used scanner. All the cables are unwrapped, twist-ties loose in the bag, paper band warning of need to unwrap folded up and in bag, etc.. The worst thing is, the scanner has a lock button, for shipping, and the previous user had unlocked it and it was not relocked before returning it or shipping it to me. I need this device ASAP and so I am going to install it and see if it works. But I am certainly never going to buy equipment from Amazon again.

THIS AND OTHER PRODUCTS BY PLUSTEK I REALLY RECOMMEND ALTHOUGH I HAVE THE OLDER MODEL -3600-THE QUALITY OF BUILD AND ACCESS TO THE SCANNER IS VERY EASY ..AND TO UNDERSTAND HOWEVER SOME PEOPLE I HAVE ENCOUNTERED SIMPLY CREATE PROBLEMS FOR THEMSELVES; SO AGAIN READ THE MANUAL AND GO TO THE WEBSITE TO DOWN LOAD THE LATEST UPDATES !!!!!! YES THIS SCANNER AND OLDER MODELS DO (!) CREATE GOOD SCANNED COPIES OF PHOTOS ! I THOROUGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MODEL AND OTHER PLUSTEK PRODUCTS TO STUDENTS AND FOR THE OFFICE BECAUSE ITS A DAMN , RELIABLE ; GOOD SCANNER ! I HAVE TW0 PLUSTEK MACHINES--NO PROBLEM THE PRICE IS JUST RIGHT FROM AMAZON . MIKE

Very pleased with it. It's fast and very simple to use. Software installed super quick too. Was up and working in now time. Would highly recommend.
