Mercusys Mr80x Router

Absolutely blown away by the increase in LAN speed I got over the standard issued ISP router. I wanted to stream games from my PC to my TV and now I can do it with next to zero latency and a clear image. Highly recommend this router!

Purchased a second on to serve as an extender. Connected them to each other via a long 20m cat 7 cable. Both were easy to setup up via the admin console, I didn’t bother trying to use the app. I have a 500 line and on lan I get the speeds, anywhere in the house on mobile WiFi devices I tend to get around 300/400 in speed. I enabled the function on both routers to have one WiFi name but they auto manages and connect the devices to either 2 or 5ghz spectrum depending on needs or device. Haven’t had any issues and no dropped connections moving across the house from the one set as main router to side of the house where the second one is set as an extender. For the price it’s a great router with gigabit ports and fast WiFi and easy setup.

Great WiFi speeds and the Ethernet works at the speeds it states. Even though WiFi should handle more than 1GBit bandwidth, I get about half that. It may be configuration on my side though.
