Good Points: Quiet, low power consumption, compact yet capacity up to 30TB Improvement Points: No 10GbE ports. No NVMe SSD cache

Good Points: Small, quiet, good management software Improvement Points: Poors filesystem compatibility with macOS, as BTRFS doesn’t support certain characters in filenames, causing issues when copying data around. Also needs two SSD drives if you want to use write caching, although the same probably applies to other Synology NAS products.

Good Points: Very compact and unobtrusive, does exactly what it promises to do. Improvement Points: This NAS takes 2.5 inch disks so you're very limited hard drive capacity and they cost more. that's the trade off for small footprint.

Should've bought this years ago. We installed WD Red Pro SATA drives and works great.
