Not a perfect one time scanner. Have to run the scan several times to get it right. Pain in the ass. I would go back to a flat bed in a second. Can’t wait for this thing to die for the excuse to by a different type.

HP help desk will not provide help in creating a searchable pdf which is supposed to be one of the features of the scanner. They say amazon order info is not valid for warranty purposes.

I didn't give it a 10 for several reasons: The PAPERPORT software only worked on one of the two PCs (2 scanners purchased) The import into Foxit Reader worked for 2 days and then the scanner was no longer recognised So I had to use the proprietary software, which required additional manipulations Otherwise, it is very fast and works very well

Very good scanner. User interface needs significant improvement but this is software design issue. When I press scan button there is a weird 4 seconds delay before it starts scanning. For home use this is perfect. For high pace office this is not so great with that delay.

I was using a multi-function printer with a scan option before purchasing the HP Scanjet Pro. The sheet-feed feature is a must. Saves time and energy. The only drawback (and maybe it's just me) is that when I scan, it does both sides of the document and blank pages show faint primary page images so I end up having to delete them from the PDF before sending. If you don't have an advanced version of Adobe, you won't be able to do this.
