Bought this as wanted an L bracket for my camera. On my Nikon D800e, it blocked the battery door and the vertical axis couldn't be set the same distance from centre of lens as the horizontal axis. It appears that it's designed for cameras that have battery grips. In short, over engineered clunky piece of kit.

This sit well with the Nikon D850 and battery grip, fit very well on a geared head.

I use for commercial studio shots. Not comfortable to work with without a grip. Other then that great use and value.
