Bosch Multifunction laser GCL 25 Professional + stand BS 150 (601066B01)

I was originally considering the Leica Lino L2P5. This does the same at almost half the price. The unit was a little larger and heavier than I expected from looking at the pictures, none the less, it works as advertised. The unit has a mechanism to lock the laser for transport and a simple push button changes the modes of this unit from a plumb laser to a cross line laser. I have not tried using this laser outside so I can not comment on the brightness of the laser. The "L-Boxx" storage case fits the unit nicely however there are a lot of empty spaces in the moulded insert with no description as to what those spaces are for anywhere. There is a space for the 4AA batteries that are included with the device that is strapped in with velcro, however once the batteries are removed from the shrink wrap, there is no way 4 loose AA batteries are going to stay in once place. The unit does come with a soft case for easy transport, which is often used instead of the L-Boxx.

We bought this for our kitchen renovation and to rebuild our decks next year. We mounted it on a camera tripod to level our base cabinets. It was so easy! Our kitchen is an odd shape - 4 outside corners and 8 inside corners. With this laser level, we were able to easily transfer the cabinet height to the next two walls. Although we have good skills, we are not professionals and this leveler has saved us a lot of time and frustration.

It works very well indoors if the light is not too bright. Sunlight from windows almost completely washes out the laser lines.
