Yamaha EMX5 er en analog powermixer, som især bliver værdsat for sin robuste konstruktion, indbyggede forstærker og enkle betjening. Til små bands, øvelokaler og mindre livejobs er den en praktisk alt-i-en løsning med brugbare effekter og grundlæggende feedbackdæmpning. Brugere fremhæver pålidelighed og nemt setup som de største fordele. Samtidig er det ikke et moderne digitalt mixerbord: mulighederne for routing, lagring af presets og avanceret signalbehandling er begrænsede. Enheden er også tungere og mindre modulopbygget end et system med separat digital mixer og forstærkere. This unit was sorely needed by my duo. We needed good power in a compact, rack-mountable PA. It's is not as small as I'd prefer but the rack-mounted option closed the deal. (Note that Yamaha does not include rack-mount kit; it is sold separately and is not cheap. We passed on that and I had enough hardware to fabricate my own mount). In a rack I 'm able to keep it cabled to other toys, power,etc., so all we use is in one Anvil case. Wattage is more than adequate and we sound much cleaner. Yamaha needs to include the rack kit. It would help their image.

Really an 8 channel mixer. Very good chorus and reverb effects. Stereo channels very effective. This is the third Yamaha mixer for me so obviously I like them. The EMX -7 has a graphic equalizer but this one doesn't. It has a one knob parametric thingie. Seems to do the job. Worth the money.
