Allen & Heath ZED-14 er kendt for sin robuste konstruktion, glatte 100 mm faders og pålidelige knapper, hvilket gør den populær hos bands, kirker og små studier. DuoPre-forforstærkerne og 3-bånds EQ’en med sweepbare mellemtonefrekvenser giver en ren, musikalsk lyd, som roses i mange anmeldelser. Det indbyggede USB-interface gør det nemt at lave stereooptagelser og afspilning uden ekstra udstyr, men det er begrænset til 2 ind/2 ud i 16-bit, hvilket kan være snævert til seriøs studiebrug. Derudover mangler subgrupper, så routingen er mindre omfattende end på større mixere. Nogle brugere bemærker også, at placering og fasthed af USB-stikket kunne være bedre. For dem, der primært ønsker en robust, vellydende analog mixer med enkel USB-funktion, er ZED-14 dog et meget stærkt valg i sin prisklasse.

Perfect mixer for my needs. Running all my synths, samplers and drum machines in for recording. Beautiful EQs, loads of AUX channels, tons of routing options. The ALT and mono outs are super useful. Love this thing!

The design and construction are 99.99 percent flawless. It's simple, extremely well constructed, and a lot of mixer for the money. I got it foremost to run podcast-able interactions with people on phone/skype with mix-minus-one setups. Four aux's - perfect. Great sliders. Very versatile ins/outs. Solid choice, great buy. My only complaint would be that the USB jack should be moved to the back b/c it's a little to loose of a connection to be where a lot of hand activity would be - makes me nervous that i'll accidentally tap the USB cable while doing something and disrupt the PC connection in the middle of a mix. Highly recommend this mixer.
