Terrific. Crosses and headers seem to be the best way to score, but you can still commit some brutal fouls and not get booked every time, which I love Menus are better too

Nice game, way better than FIFA. But still ti needs more improvement. Hopefully PES 18 will get that improvement. Still, 100% recommended, better than FIFA

I've been a Pro Evo fan boy ever since the originals way back when, and this latest edition is the best so far. I haven't played FIFA 17 so no comparisons here but the gameplay truly rewards dribbling at pace and lightly punishes sliding tackles, parts of the game that I love. Width and crosses are another amazing tool for attacking play in PES, and keepers (as in real life) can and should be cruelly exposed. I prefer Master League and the licensed cup competitions to online play but there's plenty of options here with both having the kind of longevity you crave in a football sim. Tactical changes to formation and pitch instructions have been simplified and are easy to access and sublime to implement, such as the double tap in your playing direction on the D-pad for offside :) If club names like North London (actually Arsenal in this version :D) throw you or your family members, buy FIFA. For everything else, PES 2017.
