Bargain bins can reveal some hidden gems, they can also contain a lot of turkeys. Baja is a racing game based on the Baja 1000. It is also tripe. It clucks so loud it is deafening. The game is split into events containing a few races in each. Earn enough points to unlock further events. Probably nothing like the 'real' Baja. You also get the usual time trials etc and believe it or not a multiplayer that I doubt has ever had a customer. Putting aside the last gen graphics and the last decade vioce over, the handling is dreadful. Even on the flat going straight, you will suddenly spin or weave to the side. One minute you can hardly turn, next you are across the track. This makes the game difficult and frustrating to play. The game has a retro feel like the sort of 1990's gaming cabinets you find in a holiday park. Which in itself isn't a problem, trying to play this is. This game needs a damn good basting and is only fit for the oven on full blast. :0(

I haven't ever seen the real Baja, and there are probably better racing games out there. But as far as getting to know this classic off road event goes, this i to me at least a satisfying experience

It's like giveing birth to a baby. It's too much pain to even watch.!!! Driver 1 is better then this game and Driver 1 is on playstation 1 .!!!

Like Motorstorm only rubbish! I got this title today, popped it in to my PS3 expecting it to be pretty good judging by the images on the rear of the package only to be confronted by a game more suited to something you would expect to find on the old PS1. The scenery is okay I guess, however, your main focus during the game is of course on the vehicles and these can only be described as old school "sprites" - blocky in appearence and having no realistic physics in the way that they handle. I'd give it a wide birth myself and opt for Motorstorm if you don't already have it. Waste of money.
