In fact, the video goes through the USB. You need a specific "driver" (which is a problem for a Pro PC if you don't have administrator rights) that will compress the video. The one for Linux is "buggy": It causes cuts that make the display very unstable and made the PC heat up unnecessarily (which went to safety 2 or 3 times). I don't recommend it except for (very) occasional use under Windows (no test under Mac as far as I am concerned). PS: The patch given by the manufacturer has not been updated and can no longer be used.

Does exactly what I needed it too. With unknown features, such as intelligent switching with turning on computers.

In general : * installation is fairly easy * fairly compact * convenient to use Negative point : * Appearance of micro-cutting on the HDMI video output from time to time which is quite annoying.

Does not work out of the box for any tested service which is very frustrating for what should be a very simple product
