Shure SRH840A leverer balanceret og detaljeret lyd med kraftig bas og klare mellemtone, ideel til studie og kritisk lytning. Det lukkede design giver god isolation, og den brede hovedbøjle og lette konstruktion sikrer komfort ved lang tids brug. Aftagelig kabel og robust bygning øger holdbarheden. Ulemper er lidt tilbageholdende diskant, ingen trådløs eller aktiv støjreduktion, og lyden kan være for varm for nogle. Isolationen er god, men ikke på niveau med de bedste modeller. Samlet set en alsidig og pålidelig hovedtelefon til krævende brugere.

They're good. I'm hearing much more detail. And my "Phones" knob is turned way down compared to my old headphones, so they push it out. Comfortable, easier to pack into my computer bag with the rotating cups. The only down side is the cable, it's not bad, It's just that I had grown accustomed to cables that refuse to hold a shape. This cable does hold a shape and that can be annoying. Need to find a way to warm the cable up a bit to get the kinks and coils out of it.

Sound is excellent, but the fit is rather tight, with the cushion over the top being somewhat abrasive. The cord it comes with is better than the coiled version I had with the last similar Shure headset at least.

A minor but significant upgrade to a home studio staple, the Shure SRH840A are some of the better-looking affordable reference headphones around. They're tonally flat enough for monitoring and enjoyable enough for casual or critical music listening – but the 3m cable means they're not ideal for portable use.
