Audeze MM-500 er en high-end åben hovedtelefon, designet til professionelt studiebrug og kritisk lytning. Lyden er meget analytisk og neutral, så detaljer og nuancer i musikken fremhæves. Byggekvaliteten og materialerne er i top, og komforten er god til lange sessioner. Stereobilledet er bredt og instrumenter adskilles tydeligt. Prisen er dog høj, og trykket kan føles stramt. Fremhævelse af mellem/høj kan være trættende, og subbas og diskant er mindre fremtrædende end hos visse andre modeller. The Audeze MM-500 perform better than their audio reproduction accuracy score suggests. While their frequency response deviates from their flat sound signature, the absence of fluctuations in narrow, neighboring frequency bands indicates deliberate tuning rather than uncontrolled audio reproduction. The treble region features a slight low-treble emphasis coupled with mid-treble de-emphasis, retaining detail and articulation in vocals and instruments while softening sibilants. The Audeze headphones have very good stereo matching and excellent harmonic distortion performance, so you won't notice shifts in the stereo image caused by the headphones, nor coloration from unwanted harmonics. While the headphones excite the pinna, our PRTF measurements indicate their presentation won't sound as natural as our benchmark, an angled stereo speaker setup.

Simply put, the best headphones you can buy. Clear mids, sparkling highs, and full, speedy lows. If you are looking for something with heavy bass with an artificially warm sound, this isn’t for you. I had the LCD-X and these are definitely a cut above, at least. These have become my go-to open backs, with the Focal Radiance being my go-to closed back choice. If you can afford it, pull the trigger. And if you are thinking about the LCD-X, I would recommend saving up a bit more and go for these. Y...

Honestly if this would be your first headphone, I couldn't recommend it. The clamp for me has always been too much. Also this one has been a bit picky about the amp source sounding good with solid state but not some much on transformer base tubes amps. It can be a wonderful addition to audiophiles collection because of the technical performance. It's a very good blend of staging imaging and tamber. This won't make things as smooth and wide as Aryas or HD800s so I tend to only use it with well re...
