Works really well on a7r3. No wind noise to be heard whilst filming.

I have used it in outside conditions and inside at a family party; in both cases the sound results were brilliant - way above my expectations. I don't do blogging but I do videos for a YouTube channel which mainly feature 'shorts' of my Greek holidays. The features on the microphone are impressive and do work in wind and noise reduction conditions. The various settings are very useful

The convenience of just being able to put this on the hot shoe and not connect a cable is brilliant. You loose controls of audio this was as it goes into fully auto mode. The sound it average at best, using a decent rode gets better audio for sure.

Seems OK I was in two minds at first to return it as it’s very expensive, and I was surprised how quiet I sounded talking to camera from just a few feet away. However, it’s better than the internal mic and has some clever electronic processing. So I think it’s decent but not brilliant.
