LOEWE Solo Eau de toilette 150 ml

This fragrance has been with me for over 30 years, and I can't let it go. It suits both summer and winter, during the day and at night, whether you're being sporty or elegant. Solo Loewe is simply timeless and continually surprises me anew. I am regularly approached when I wear it, and I always reluctantly reveal which fragrance it is.

The Solo Cedro doesn't really reinvent the wheel, but it is a good all-rounder, similar to Blue Fragrances. Perhaps it is even a Blue Fragrance in the broadest sense. It starts off fresh-spicy in the typical shower gel direction, but is accompanied by a pleasantly unobtrusive citrus note and a distinct masculine woodiness. Overall, the scent is unobtrusive, yet still has a bit of edge thanks to the woods. It is a typically masculine freshie that is very versatile. One could certainly reach for something else, especially for evenings out. This scent works from spring to autumn; in winter, it will likely get a bit lost. Longevity and sillage are average. The price-performance ratio is also standard. As at least a somewhat more interesting alternative to other shower gel scents, the Solo Cedro is worth a try.

I wonder about two things regarding the reviews for this perfume: 1) My bottle looks different than in the photo; has the formula been changed? because 2) I think the scent is really great! I can't quite understand the comments about it being synthetic; I rather feel that the scent is perhaps a bit too aquatic and fresh, which is why the cedar doesn't come across as heavy and dominant, but it is definitely noticeable. It's a wonderful summer scent if you want to smell fresh yet somewhat "rough," an exceptionally lovely fragrance that isn't particularly complex but lasts well and is very well received by others, which is why it works almost all the time. One of my current top 5.

This was nice and not too strong...classic and clean scent with some masculine warmth that I thought was a little like suede leather. My husband really liked it too...will probably buy a bigger bottle.
