As the title says, I don't understand why this fragrance isn't worn by more people. But it doesn't matter because when I wear it, I don't smell like every second person who has discovered perfume for themselves. I love that it can be worn in all four seasons and in most situations. The only thing that bothers me a little is that the bottle tends to run out relatively quickly because you shouldn't skimp on this scent, at least on my skin. But that's nitpicking at a high level and not worth mentioning since you can get it at a good price and won't go broke from it.

This is a scent I can breathe in and get lost in. The bottle itself pretty much encapsulates what to expect going into this perfume, with the all wood cap. The beginning is at first pretty citrusy and verdant green, but the cedarwood is already permeating the top notes and it doesn't take long for it to settle in comfortably on the skin, making itself known it is a very woody scent afterall. The cardamom seems to soften it at first as it dries down and after a little while longer the patchouli really shines with the cedar. It is not a super unique fragrance, as I was testing this on myself it reminded me of a fragrance I had smelled some years ago, on a male friend but I never knew what he wore. Despite that this is still a very pleasing fragrance that I enjoy wearing and I can't wait to try more Issey Miyake.

I am a fan of fresh scents. Fougere and similar variations. The L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme Eau de Toilette is a great aquatic. It has character and is timeless. But it also has typical 90s vibes. I think it's fantastic. The Vetiver flanker doesn't come across as bitter, harsh, and aquatic. The Yuzu is prominent, just like the lemon. The ginger is present but holds back a bit. The namesake vetiver makes everything greenish and also woody. In the base, it becomes aquatic with a woody touch. The original DNA seems to shine through. It lasts about 6-7 hours. The sillage is pleasant and not overwhelming. Very versatile. Work or going out. It doesn't matter. For the cold half of the year, it's spicy enough. For the warm half of the year, it's fresh and aquatic enough. I really like it. Just a well-rounded thing. Great job, Miyake, San!
