Armani Code Eau de Parfum har en blød, blomstret, sensuel duft, der fungerer til både dag og aften. Den sidder typisk 7-8 timer med rimelig udbredelse, men efter et par timer bliver den en subtil hudduft. Den er ikke den stærkeste duft på markedet og kan i varmt vejr eller på travle steder være mindre mærkbar. Flasken er smuk og luksuriøs, men duften er ikke velegnet til alle, der foretrækker en kraftig, frisk eller meget frisk duft.

I thought, based on the product description, that there would be some contrast here. Mandarin (whether green or "normal") is almost completely crushed by a vanilla-cinnamon-creamy tonka bean. The nutmeg is in the same boat, it can only contribute a bit of spice now and then, but is completely powerless. A reviewer compared it a few days ago to The Scent Elixir for Him minus the fruitiness. I would agree with that (where I don't agree with his review are the incense notes, but oh well). So, against this code, a Bad Boy Cobalt Absolute smells almost complex, even though it also overdoes it with the "vanilla cream."

After my Code Profumo was slowly running out and unfortunately was no longer available, I was very pleased that Armani is releasing the successor or the "same" fragrance under a different name. The new Armani Code Eau De Parfum from 2024 smells very similar to its predecessor "Profumo". Since I still have the old original here, I can say that there is a difference and that Profumo indeed smells better. Nevertheless, you can place the Code Eau de Parfum on your shelf and especially wear it on cool days.

I bought the Profumo in 2017 and wore it daily as a student. It has a very sweet and seductive scent - actually more suitable for the evening / dates, yet I found the fragrance so good that I wore it in the mornings as well. Longevity was also very good, lasting into the evening. You can't smell it yourself after a few minutes / hours (olfactory fatigue), but when you pick up the clothing item the next day or walk past it, you could still smell the fragrance. Unfortunately, the Profumo has been taken off the market. I bought its successor "Armani Code eau de Parfum" directly in 2024, but it doesn't compare to the "original."
