Dunhill Moroccan Amber er en varm, amberagtig herreduft med krydderige noter af ingefær, kardemom og peber, ideel til vinter og kolde, regnfulde dage. Duften er blød, elegant og ikke overdreven, med god holdbarhed på omkring 7–8 timer. Sillage er rimeligt de første timer, men bliver derefter en hudduft, hvilket er behageligt til kontor eller formelle lejligheder. En ulempe er, at duften ikke er særlig original og stærkt minder om andre amber-krydderige herredufte. Desuden er prisen relativt høj i forhold til præstation og originalitet, hvilket gør den mindre interessant for budgetbevidste købere. For dem, der søger en blød, varm vinterduft, der ikke er påtrængende, er Moroccan Amber et godt valg, men der findes billigere alternativer med lignende duft og præstation.

This opens up a bit like Prada Amber: floral and soapy with a bit of citrus. Twenty minutes in, though, dusty spices start overtaking the top notes and the soapiness shifts to a resinous warmth. There's a coffee-and-woods base here that starts to peek out from behind the slightly sour amber accord. It's altogether really nice: an everyday, all-occasion amber with enough character to remain engaging.

A lovely citrus and warm amber is what the sense's pick up on spraying this upon oneself. This is followed by saffron and cardamom and these notes mixing in with the warm citrus amber make the composition smell earthy. So you have a bright citrus amber on top that has a earthy body. And basically that's your lot. Have to say though it does smell very lovely, a simple accord that does not irritate me like the Sandalwood scent. Like the rest of the range I just wish there was more complexity. Maybe the perfumer's were on a budget and someone greedy at Dunhill just wanted a quick return.

A gingery/peppery fresh top, with a spicy cardamom (the main player here) heart and a touch of blurry fruit-y/vanillic sweetness giving an impression of hazelnut. The drydown is the usual woody/leathery amber accord widely used in Sephora/Macy fragrances. Below avergae performance (especially the poor longevity). Overall a nice designer amber-y fragrance, but clealry overpriced at discounters (full retail price is simply a joke). As opposed to my first sniffing, this one got downgraded after I could properly wear it. Still my second of the four in my ranking of this line, but a distant second, a big step lower compared to British Leather. Still, it might appeal to who is used to mainstream-quality amber fragrances, like D&G The One, Michael Kors for Men or Alford&Hoff No.1, but I would suggest not to spend more than $50 on this one. Very "meh" in my book, and pass for me. Fall days, 20+
