Acqua di Parma Colonia Essenza er en raffineret fortolkning af den klassiske Colonia med en kraftig åbning af citron, appelsin, bergamot, grapefrugt og andre citrusnoter. Derefter følger blomstrede og grønne nuancer, som til sidst glider over i en base af vetiver, patchouli, hvid moskus og rav. Mange brugere roser alsidigheden: duften fungerer særligt godt om sommeren og i varmt vejr og føles både frisk, ren og elegant. For en eau de cologne har Essenza bemærkelsesværdig god holdbarhed og en pæn, ikke dominerende sillage. Kvaliteten af ingredienserne og den klassiske sorte flakon nævnes ofte som klare fordele. På den anden side oplever nogle yngre brugere stilen som lidt gammeldags eller formel, og der rapporteres om svingende projektion samt at duften i koldt vejr hurtigt bliver flad og mindre sprudlende. Købere, der ønsker en moderne, meget sød eller ekstremt kraftig duft, bør tage dette i betragtning.

This is a lovely unisex fragrance which I love having on hand for summer fragrances rotation. My husband also will wear this on the few occasions when he wears fragrance. It is one of the few "unisex" fragrances, for me anyway, is truly unisex. The sharp, almost chypre feel seems to grow stronger on the man, and not so much on the woman. I noticed another review liken this to 4711 and I can see this, however to my nose the acqua di parma has a stronger, more feminine note where the 4711 is simply blandly pleasant. (4711 is just out of the shower - acqua di parma is "I'm ready to go out and face the world!" ) A definite winner. Sophisticated simplicity. Four stars.

I'm torn. This is a a lovely fragrance, initially crisp & uplifting, then warm & soft but compared to other eau de colognes its expensive & has poor longevity. Even 4711 eau de Cologne (which I love) has similar but bolder notes is half the price and still lasts longer than Colonia Its a unisex fragrance and a friend described it as "sporty" However, I'm prepared to occasionally indulge in the expense of wearing this as I love this fragrance *update* I found that when I sprayed it on my wrist the fragrance lingered as it caught the sleeve of my clothes - this definitely makes it last - I've noticed the fragrance is still noticeable a few days later I've now tried the body cream, which is lovely but has only a slight fragrance and is very expensive for the price, so wouldn't buy again

As with all Aqcua di Parma fragrances this is a beautiful scent and one you are very unlikely to encounter others wearing.

Was panicking a little bit after last review , just received it perfect , smelt it in Harvey Nichols and it's just the same lovely .
