The toothbrush is great for my 8 year old. The only issue is the cost of the small compact brush head replacement is really expensive!!! Why do they give you two different brush head sizes and it is nearly impossible to buy the compact head replacement.

My daughter's first electric toothbrush, and she loves brushing her teeth because of the app and the hairsprays and food your can earn to give to your Sparkly. From a parents perspective, the app is a little glitchy and hard to get it working sometimes, but once there, it's a lot of fun!

Great toothbrush and exciting app for children. When you purchase you receive two sizes of brush heads, standard and compact. The compact size is perfect for up to 8yrs old. Unfortunately those compact size brush heads are no longer available to purchase which is very frustrating considering the cost of the toothbrush. My 3yr old and 8yr old find the larger standard size brush head too large and uncomfortable. The replacement heads in standard size are also not available to purchase from Argos as stated on the Phillips website. I enquired about the compact size brush heads and received a 10% voucher as a token of good will. Great gesture but useless when the product I need is no longer available to purchase. Don't buy this toothbrush for children that are young/under 8 who find the larger brush head uncomfortable for their small mouths and don't expect to be able to purchase Sonicare Kids replacement heads which are a different colour to any other Sonicare toothbrush head.

Very frustrating!!! As with all Philips products the build quality is excellent. The software and what it is trying to do is excellent. So why the 3 stars? The Bluetooth connection of the toothbrush is poor. By the time it has connected, the brush cycle is at least a third completed. So you try to start the cycle again, but by then the character in the app has received a present which the children are distracted by; he whole aim of the exercise. The net result is the children don’t really clean their teeth.Other minor issue is that the box stated the toothbrush came with 8 stickers. Only 4 arrived in the box...
