Jour d'Hermès Absolu er en forbedret version af originalen med betydeligt bedre holdbarhed—op til 24 timer med god sillage. Jean-Claude Ellena har gjort frugtnoten (fersken og aprikos) fyldigere og mere kødfuld, hvilket gør kompositionen varmere og mere spiselig. Duften åbner med frisk citrus- og frugtnote, udvikler sig til en delikat blomsterbouquet (hyacint, liljekonval, gardenia, jasmin) og slutter med en blød muskagtig base. Den påfyldelige flaske gør det mere økonomisk og miljøvenligt. Dette er ideelt for dem der fandt den originale Jour d'Hermès smuk men havde brug for mere holdbarhed, eller for dem der værdsætter raffinerede, luminøse dufte med bedre ydeevne.

This EDP opens with an uplifting citrus that lasts for about an hour. The heart seems to be composed of gardenia with elements of water notes and some non-descript green notes that seem to wash each other out. I found this fragrance to be mostly composed of sweet pea powder musk. I do understand and appreciate the concept of a quiet scent and how fragrance does not need to shout to make a statement. However, I found this EDP to be very thin, transparent with a weak tenacity to it. Its very lacking in something but I can't identify what it is. What a shame. I often enjoy Hermes fragrances but this isn't one of them.

I love this perfume. The sample size seem to be a little bit more citrusy. I like the bergamot. I still love it.

Warning. The one I received was not authentic. It was a lot of alcohol and the ghost of the grassy bottom note. It obviously was cut with a lot of alcohol. I wouldn't believe that this was eau de toilette, much less parfum. I own Jardin sur le Toit, soI know what an Hermes fragrance should be: complex, full, and long lasting. Forget this one.
