A fragrance that could be so beautiful if only that lavender note weren't so overpowering for me. Even after the drydown, it is still too prominent for me, and I can barely enjoy my favorite notes of sandalwood and creamy vanilla. It was a blind buy because I was too sure of myself based on the fragrance pyramid on paper. What a shame...

Mon Guerlain is a beautiful, elegant and feminine fragrance to me. The combination of lavender and vanilla feels wonderfully soft, creamy and slightly powdery. Jasmine and sandalwood add a warm, refined depth to the scent. I especially like that the vanilla is pleasantly sensual without being overly sweet or heavy. The lavender also adds a distinctive freshness and makes Mon Guerlain unmistakable. On the skin, it develops into a warm, polished and very elegant fragrance that I particularly enjoy wearing in autumn and winter. A timeless classic for me - feminine, sensual and simply beautiful.

...because I had several decants that I ultimately sold or gifted. I just couldn't get along with the perfume. After several tests at home and in the perfume shop, I bought a bottle. A very enchanting scent! Feminine, sweet, and vanilla-like. Lavender is very potent at the beginning (which I unfortunately don't like that much). After a few minutes, it becomes more pleasant, and the vanilla along with a certain floral and creamy quality comes through. Uncomplicated, simple, and suitable for any occasion. The scent is a compliment magnet... I have also had it frequently repurchased for me or bought on my recommendation.
