Smoother and much quieter than regular impact drivers. There is greater control in the trigger which avoids over tightening of screw heads. Have used mine for 4 years now. Its the cordless tool I use most often and I can justify the price by how much quieter it is. I would never buy a regular impact driver again!

At first a little skeptical concerning the torque of this unit a mere 40nm but to my surprise this little driver has plenty of oomph i am able to drive anything in comfortably with no more effort than my brushless 170nm standard impact driver, the advantages of this driver speak for them self its very quiet and smooth. I work in noise sensitive environments sheltered housing and residential dwellings so its a real game changer, even before 9am on a Sunday morning.
