Pirelli Winter SottoZero 3 er kendt som et meget kapabelt vinterdæk til sportslige biler. Anmeldelser og tests fremhæver især stærk trækkraft og bremseegenskaber på sne og våde vinterveje, hvilket giver stor tillid i kolde forhold. Køreadfærden er stabil og forudsigelig med god feedback i sving, selv om styreresponsen er lidt mindre skarp end på et rent sommerdæk. Komfort og støjniveau beskrives som gode for et UHP‑vinterdæk, og slidstyrken passer til normalt sæsonbrug over flere vintre. På den negative side peger flere kilder på, at dækket på ren is ikke er helt så ekstremt som de allerbedste sne‑ og isdæk. Der findes også meldinger om, at sidevæggene kan være følsomme over for huller i vejen, og prisen ligger klart i den høje ende. For bilister der primært søger stærke sne‑ og vådvejsegenskaber på en sportslig bil, er dette dog et meget overbevisende valg.

This is my 3rd set for good reason - They are fantastic. I have driven to the alps and back. During the 9hr drive I encountered sun, rain , heavy sleet, and a little snow. The tyres couldn’t have had a better test. They performed brilliantly. A very good all around WINTER tyre. They wear well under 12°C so make sure I change them and the temperature rises.

Cauciucurile nu au putut fi echilibrate nici după 3 încercări în 3 ateliere diferite . Cauciucurile produc o vibrație constantă în volan și pedala de accelerație și un crează un disconfort constant . O să înlocuiesc în iarna următoare categoric .

Compared with my previous Michelins, and the Pirelli summer tyres, these disappoint. No confidence in the snow and they felt unnatached in the wet.
