Pirelli Winter SottoZero 3 225/40R19 XL 93H roses ofte som et sportsligt vinterdæk, der i praksis klarer sig meget godt i sne, sjap og på våde vinterveje. Førere oplever stærk trækkraft og korte bremselængder i typiske vinterforhold, uden at dækket føles tungt. Også på tør og våd asfalt i kulde er grebet højt og styrefølelsen præcis, så bilen føles stabil og forudsigelig selv ved højere hastigheder. Mange sætter også pris på den gode kørekomfort og det relativt lave støjniveau for et UHP‑vinterdæk. Til gengæld kan ydelsen på ren is være lidt svagere end hos mere udprægede sne- og isdæk, hvilket mærkes i ekstreme forhold. Nogle bilister rapporterer desuden mærkbar, men stadig acceptabel dæklarm og, ved hård eller sportslig kørsel, lidt hurtigere slid. For ejere af kraftige eller premiumbiler i områder med regelmæssig sne, men også mange tørre eller våde vinterkilometer, er det dog et velafbalanceret og sikkert valg.

This is my 3rd set for good reason - They are fantastic. I have driven to the alps and back. During the 9hr drive I encountered sun, rain , heavy sleet, and a little snow. The tyres couldn’t have had a better test. They performed brilliantly. A very good all around WINTER tyre. They wear well under 12°C so make sure I change them and the temperature rises.

Cauciucurile nu au putut fi echilibrate nici după 3 încercări în 3 ateliere diferite . Cauciucurile produc o vibrație constantă în volan și pedala de accelerație și un crează un disconfort constant . O să înlocuiesc în iarna următoare categoric .

Compared with my previous Michelins, and the Pirelli summer tyres, these disappoint. No confidence in the snow and they felt unnatached in the wet.
