Hankook Ventus S1 evo3 SUV K127A i 275/45R21 XL 110Y er et ultra-high-performance sommerdæk til kraftige SUV’er. Tests og erfaringer fremhæver især det stærke greb og de korte bremselængder på både våd og tør vej, kombineret med præcis styring og stabil kurvekørsel. De forstærkede sidevægge og aramidbælter giver en robust og holdbar opbygning, mens dækket ved lave og mellemstore hastigheder føles komfortabelt og forholdsvis stille. På motorvejshastigheder rapporterer nogle førere dog lidt mere støj og en mere fast affjedringsfornemmelse end hos visse premium-konkurrenter. Derudover er det et rent sommerdæk: ved lave temperaturer samt sne og is skal man skifte til vinterdæk. The tyres are good, but not the best of the best. No complains apart from two episodes. One was sideways sliding at around 70 kmh in a corner if an autobahn ramp on dry road. That was unexpected. The second was a contact with a parking/sidewalk edging at parking speed, maybe 5 kmh. The tyre has something like a rim protector, which just tore during the contact and I have both a scratched rim and a piece of rubber sticking out of the tyre (I glued it back).
