Bridgestone Turanza ER300 i størrelsen 245/45R18 96Y er et sommerdæk til mellemstore og større, ofte kraftigere biler. Dækket er kendt for fremragende greb og præcis styring på tør asfalt, hvilket giver stor tillid ved motorvejshastigheder. På våd vej klarer det sig også rigtig godt: uafhængige tests og brugere fremhæver sikre bremseegenskaber, god modstand mod aquaplaning og stabil opførsel i regn. Turanza ER300 vælges desuden ofte for sin komfort og det relativt lave støjniveau, hvilket er behageligt på lange ture. Til gengæld er det ikke et udpræget eco-dæk, og brændstofforbruget ligger typisk lidt højere end med de nyeste lavrullemodstands-dæk. Som rent sommerdæk fungerer det klart dårligere på sne og is og bør skiftes i den kolde sæson. Ved sportslig kørsel kan mønstret også slides hurtigere. Dækket passer især til bilister, der ønsker et komfortabelt, men dynamisk sommerdæk med meget sikkert greb på både tør og våd vej og som accepterer lidt højere forbrug.

My used BMW was delivered with Bridgestone Turanza RFT tires. Only then did I learn that BMW delivers some models to me as standard runflats. In the beginning I was thrilled to experience this new generation of tires. The enthusiasm quickly turned into disappointment. While the adhesion on dry roads can still pass as an average (in comparison to non-RFTs) there is almost no liability on the wet road. This may be one of the worst summer tires I've ever driven on a wet, muddy road. All other features are below average, at least in comparison to all the Contis, Pirelli's and Michel's (all non-RFTs) I've driven so far. The tires are relatively loud and hard. The wear durability is good. Compared to their successors (Bridgestone Driveguard) you can really forget these tires. The RTF technology has certainly evolved. However, I can not recommend this tire due to the lack of wet adhesion.
