The tire has a plug but it holds the air. The tread remaining is about 40 to 50 percent which is fine for my purpose as a spare tire.

I'm very happy with my purchase. I ordered the tires on Sunday night and they were in my driveway Tuesday afternoon. The tires were exactly as described with plenty of tread left.
