Michelin CrossClimate+ 165/65R14 XL 83T er kendt som et meget komplet helårsdæk. Brugere og tests fremhæver især det stærke greb på tør og våd vej samt de sikre bremseegenskaber, også ved lave temperaturer og let sne. Dækket forbliver stabilt i mange forskellige forhold og kører samtidig bemærkelsesværdigt stille og komfortabelt, hvilket er rart på længere ture. En anden ofte nævnt fordel er den lange levetid; dækket slides langsomt, så den højere pris delvist tjenes ind igen. For mange bilister er det også praktisk, at de ikke længere behøver at skifte mellem sommer- og vinterdæk. Ulempen er, at prisen ligger højere end mange andre helårsdæk, og at styrepræcisionen er mindre skarp end på et rent, sportsligt sommerdæk. Derudover melder nogle førere, at støj og greb mærkbart forringes, når mønsteret er mere nedslidt, så rettidig udskiftning forbliver vigtig.

MOT rejected after 7 years of use. Reason: drought cracks up to the canvas in several places. Tires still had 3.6 to 3.8 mm profile. 2 front tires, front wheel drive, 90% highway kms, all cracks on the outer rim. Bizarre.

I didn't notice anything about "Energy Saving". The tire drives quite well, as you would expect from a premium manufacturer, and makes normal noises. After 20,000 km there were still 2x 6 mm / 2x 5 mm of the profile. But only a 7 mm profile was new.
