Bridgestone Potenza RE050A 275/30R20 XL 97Y er et typisk max‑performance sommerdæk med en tydeligt sportslig karakter. Test og førere fremhæver især den meget direkte styrerespons, høje stabilitet og stærke tørgreb, som giver stor tillid ved hurtig kurvekørsel og motorvejshastigheder. Også på våd vej er kontrollen god, selv om den ligger en anelse efter de nyeste topmodeller i segmentet. Runflat‑XL‑udgaven giver ekstra sikkerhed og bæreevne, hvilket især er interessant til tunge, kraftige biler. Til gengæld er komforten lavere: dækket føles fast og kan virke hårdt over skarpe ujævnheder, og flere kilder nævner hurtigere slid ved sportskørsel samt stigende rullestøj med tiden. Dækket passer derfor bedst til bilister, der prioriterer sportslig præcision højere end maksimal komfort og lang levetid.

good road holding on dry, wet and slightly cold conditions. with the cold as soon as they warm up, I notice it from the pressure gauge on the on-board computer, the tightness rises as well as with the heat. little noisy tires the only defect is due to the lowered measure with little ability to absorb sudden holes as indeed all the lowered ones. my route is practically always extra-urban. expensive tires and you pay for quality.

The tire is very loud and cornering is extremely spongy. My Dunlop winter tires are a lot more precise.

The vehicle drives just great with this tire, I drove over 100,000 km on the rear axle with the same make of tire.
