Philips Tilbehør Shaving heads SH50/50

I'm not seeing any significant physical difference in these heads vs my old HQ8 except the plastic drive interface is shorter (see pic). Blades have the same spring backer and seem to shave as well. I like my AT8xx razor and plan to keep it until it falls apart. I will replace the battery as necessary. Easy to clean vs the complaints about the new top of the line razors. Perhaps complaints coming from buyers of the HQ8 and SH50 imitations.

These new blade refills don’t seem to work any better than the old ones, which means that they don’t trim any closer. Also, one of the new blades “bites” me. No blood drawn, but pretty ouchie and a down grade rather than an upgrade.

If I go back to 40 years ago, I will still choose Phillips. It is as described, it is long-lasting, it is quality. Thank you for being what you are!

I find these replacement blades do not shave as well as the original blades that came with razor.I received much closer shave with the original blades

I loved my PT-Series razor but after several years, the heads were getting dull, so I replaced them with these that I bought at a Mom and Pop store. They functioned so poorly that I was convinced they were a knockoff product that stole Philips' packaging until I saw these other reviews.The original heads that came with my razor worked great and lasted a long time. Right out the box, these were so-so at best and quickly got worse. They miss lots of hairs and I can count on the dull blades painfully yanking out two to four hairs everytime I shave. With a price point around thirty dollars, I would have been much better off buying a an inexpensive, no-frills electric razor from a competitor, at least then if I had to make multiple passes to get a clean shave I wouldn't have to endure the painful plucked hairs I get from this substandard shaver head.
