I have owned a few Brauns and all I can say is the reason why they added the cooltec is to cool down skin after rubbing over the same spot numerous times, it's really needed especially around the neck where hairs lie. It can take a lot of runs to cut them in fact it is quicker to use the trimmer edge!! I would love to be one of Brauns testers!! Being such a prominent company I would not have put this on the market. WILL NOT PAY THIS MONEY TO BUY BRAUN AGAIN. Disappointed.

A superb shaver which gives a comfortable and clean finish. The trimmer is also excellent. This is the best shaver I have ever owned.

I was disappointed in 2areas: a) the closeness of the shave. I don't have an especially heavy or dark beard, but it need to shave twice a day now b) the battery life is quite short when using the cooling facility which I like.

gives a smooth, tug-free shave and you can really feel the effect of the cool bar, although using it reduces maximum shaving time to only 15 minutes. The sideburn trimmer works well and also removes clumps of longer stubble easily. Comes with a decent case but no cleaning brushes, which would be useful.

Amazing! I suffer from sensitive skin and was a bit dubious about this shaver at first. I have to say that it does exactly what it says on the box! It shaves as close as anything else I have tried. It has an amazing cooling bar that cools and soothes the skin after the shaving heads have passed over it, also the battery is good for a weekend away from home after just 1hr charge. The redness after a shave with the cooltech CT4s is reduced by almost 90%!! I would have happily paid over double the price for this. Thankyou Braun.
